Copywriter / Content Manager

Light Up 7 is looking for a copywriter / content manager to join our marketing team. At our fast-paced, progressive digital agency we work with large, well-known brands and growing businesses to deliver compelling, ROI-driven marketing campaigns that create significant results.

We are looking for a team player who is both passionate and has experience with impeccable English and Bahasa Malaysia skills. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience and strong critical thinking skills with an exceptional ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Content creation, article writing and research
  • Develop and research ideas and facts pertinent to the type of content / topic
  • Create fresh content that speaks to the specific challenges of our target audience and uses creative storytelling
  • Create catchy and creative messages to be used for campaigns, promotions and activities
  • Alters and adapts key messages to be suitable headline and description to fit with each media, both online and offline.
  • Work on deadline to ensure relevant and timely completion of assigned projects
  • Preparing content and writing copy for various social media platforms
  • Able to deliver written content for different platforms
  • Able to put together project proposal and briefs
  • Able to do SEO on websites
  • Understands our target groups and be able to adjust messages to suite different targets with similar campaigns
  • Other related tasks as needed

  • Ability to write in a wide range of tone and manner according to client’s industry
  • Able to work hand-in-hand with project managers, designers, and developers
  • Concise and engaging writing and editing skills
  • Excellent writing skills, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
  • Impeccable spelling and grammar
  • Experience and familiarity with online marketing, content marketing, and demand generation best practices
  • Great research and organisational capabilities
  • Ability to learn quickly and work at a fast pace
  • Interest in and understanding of technology and business
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tactics, including SEO, email marketing and web analytics
  • Strict adherence to deadlines
  • Candidate must possess impeccable command of English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or relevant degree or certification
  • At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
